Cultural Fest REJOVENIR 2K19

Cultural Fest REJOVENIR 2K19 was held at Indoor Stadium of Dr Sudhir Chandra Sur Degree Engineering College,Dumdum on 06th April’19. The program was Inaugurated by Mr. Simarpreet Singh, Director (JIS Group), Sardar Ram Chandra Gaba(Mamaji), Professor Om Prakash Sharma, Principal, DSCSDEC, Professor Sushovan Sarkar , HOD(Civil), Convenor of Cultural Fest,Mr.Sonalal Chattopadhaya, Admin. Officer. The program witnessed the presence of all HODs,TIC,Technical Staff and students of DSCSDEC.

Inaugural function started after reciting Mantra to Lord Ganesha and offering coconut and ladoo as prasadam.

After opening of Cultural Fest Rejovenir2K19 by Mr.Simarpreet Singh,Director,JIS Group ,student performance started with Ganesh Vandana followed by Shiva Tandava to showcase our culture and tradition.

Prof.Om Prakash Sharma ,Principal in his welcome address thanked Respected Sh.Taranjit Singh,MD JIS Group for providing the opportunity to perform in the indoor stadium. He added that the gracious presence of Mr.Simarpreet Singh,Director,JIS Group is a great source of inspiration and motivation to all.

Around fifty students from various engineering departments participated in the events of cultural fest. The program was well organised with the various cultural events like solo dance, group dance, solo singing, fashion show, 3 minutes to FAME,and performance by four College Bands.

The students’ event was finished with an episode of a group dance with a theme of National Song to pay homage to Pulwama Martyrs.

In the evening faculty,staff and students enjoyed the main attraction Delete Band followed by DJ SIMON.

Students Samagya Shaw (ECE), Sagnik Dutta(EE), Dhriti Pyne(CSE) and Abhranil Chatterjee(CSE) were anchors throughout the program. The students who supported as a convenor/coordinator for the program REJOVENIR 2K19 were Sanjali Singh(ECE), Susmita Pal (ECE), Rajbeer Banerjee(CSE) and Soudip Sarkar(EE) along with other members of the cultural committee who made the program successful.
